Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group is seeking a skilled maintenance professional to perform major repairs and ongoing upkeep of hotel facilities. You will address interior and exterior building systems, rooms, and equipment such as HVAC, lighting, and kitchens to meet safety and quality standards.

The role emphasizes safety compliance, inventory control, and coordinating with other departments to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Advanced vocational training plus two years of experience in general building maintenance or construction.
• Professional certification and license if required by law.
• Ability to carry, lift, push and pull up to 100-300 pounds and work nights, weekends, or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures to ensure security of inventory and assets, replenish supplies and minimize waste.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication with other departments.
• Respond to guest questions, complaints and requests to ensure strong guest satisfaction.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on interior/exterior facilities, rooms, and equipment including HVAC, lighting, plumbing and refrigeration where applicable.
• Ensure equipment is prepared and operational for the next day’s work.
• Adhere to safety regulations, brand standards and local policy to ensure quality and consistency.
• May educate and train hotel staff in the safe use of equipment.
• May perform preventative maintenance and other duties as assigned.
