Job summary

Hilton San Diego Bayfront is seeking an Assistant Director of Human Resources to lead hotel HR operations in a fast-paced waterfront setting. You will support the HR strategy, supervise recruiting, training, and wage/benefit administration, and ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations.

You will navigate employee relations, investigations, and disciplinary actions while fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Hotel HR experience of 3+ years or equivalent leadership in hotel operations.
• Hands-on experience with employee relations, investigations, and disciplinary decisions.
• Union experience is a valuable asset for labor relations.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.

Responsibilities

• Support HR strategy and operations aligned with hotel objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee HR department daily activities across recruiting, training, wage/benefit administration, and compliance.
• Administer HR systems, manage data, and generate reports while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Assist in managing HR budgets and align HR operations with financial goals.
• Enhance team member engagement through events, communications, and initiatives.
• Drive high performance via development, coaching, and recognition programs.
