Spark by Hilton in Springfield, IL is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the housekeeping and laundry operations, ensuring cleanliness and guest satisfaction. The role will involve directing staff, maintaining standards, and coordinating with hotel leadership.

You will oversee room and public area cleanliness, inventory management, and staff training, with the ability to work weekends/holidays and report to the General Manager. This is a full-time on-site position at our hotel.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in any service establishment.
• Ability to speak English fluently.
• Medically fit; in overall good general health.
• Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Pulling and pushing up to 150 pounds.
• Frequent standing up and moving about the facility.
• Frequently bending, stooping, and kneeling.
• Frequently handling objects and equipment.
• Willing to work weekends, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Directs housekeeping program to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive conditions of establishment by performing duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
• Supervision of the housekeeping and laundry operation to ensure quality standards are met.
• Ensures the department is operated in accordance with the hotel standards and procedures and follows all guidelines.
• Provides prompt, courteous, and professional guest service.
• Provide timely feedback to supervisor or General Manager.
• Ensure standards of cleanliness, hygiene and tidiness in all rooms, corridors, and public areas.
• Assignment of rooms to housekeeping staff, instructing, delegating, and controlling staff with responsibility.
• Assist with training of employees and ensuring tools and equipment are available.
• Must understand PAR levels and manage monthly linen/terry inventory.
• Recruitment assistance for department.
• Inspect rooms and public areas for cleanliness and condition of furnishings and equipment.
• Oversee linens and bathroom item inventory and storage.
• Report damages, breakages, or decommissions to duty manager for resolution and/or charge.
• Notify management for housekeeping staffing, materials or equipment needs.
• Notify management when par levels for supplies and equipment are insufficient.
• Maintain procedures for security of lost and found items.
• Maximize use of resources and manage costs per guidelines.
• Identify training needs and suggest training requirements to management.
• Respond to guest complaints and special requests; inform Front Office Manager/General Manager.
