Job Description Summary

The Room Attendant (RA) works with the Housekeeping Management Team to clean guest rooms and public space areas, and/or work in the commercial laundry facility, in accordance with brand standards to ensure guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

1. Deliver Sonesta Service in all guest interactions according to G.U.E.S.T. standards.
2. Respond to guest complaints and requests, taking corrective action to ensure satisfaction.
3. Clean and service assigned rooms per standards, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing bathrooms, removing trash, and cleaning appliances.
4. Notify supervisor upon completion of service or report unserviceable rooms.
5. Assist with laundry, monitor supplies, operate washers/dryers, inspect linens, and report damages.
6. Minimize waste of supplies and assist with deep cleaning projects as needed.
7. Report repairs or unsafe conditions.
8. Handle lost and found items according to procedures.
9. Promote teamwork and ensure compliance with health and safety laws.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

1. Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
2. Background in extended stay industry preferred.
3. Fluent in English; other languages beneficial.
4. Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
5. Physical ability to stand, bend, climb, kneel, and move about; lift up to 75 pounds.
6. Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
7. Comfortable using cleaning chemicals.

Additional Information

Pay Range: $29.15 - $38.87 hourly
