Job summary

Grand Pacific Hotel Services LP operates Westin/Solea Carlsbad Resort & Spa and seeks a housekeeping supervisor to lead room attendants and hotel attendants. You will educate staff on cleanliness standards, coach teams, and uphold brand requirements to ensure guest satisfaction.

The role emphasizes daily inspections, adherence to sanitation policies, and timely preparation of VIP and group rooms, with a focus on consistent service quality.

Qualifications

• Education: High school or equivalent is required.
• Experience: Prior hospitality supervisory or commercial housekeeping experience is desired.
• Licenses or Certificates: Valid California Drivers License required. Must have clean driving record.
• Grooming: All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Westin/Solea Carlsbad’s standards.
• Attendance: Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Westin/Solea Carlsbad Resort & Spa from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position, with disciplinary action for irregular attendance.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the cleaning of the guest rooms, turndown service; SOPs and health/sanitation standards and regulations to achieve a high level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
• Work with Room Attendants to ensure daily calendar tasks are completed.
• If rooms do not meet quality standards, room attendants should be sent back to correct issues; room will not be released until standards are met.
• Ensure VIPS and SPG members rooms are ready and inspected by 1pm.
• Inspect Maids carts and closets to ensure proper stocking.
• Perform daily audits to ensure Solea quality standards are consistently met.
• Work with housemen to maintain cleanliness of glass doors and windows.
• Maintain cleanliness of all hallway lamps, elevators, and related areas.
• Fill out work order tickets as needed and ensure unacceptable rooms are not released back to inventory until addressed.
