Job summary

Westin/Sheraton Carlsbad Resort & Spa is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the housekeeping team, ensuring exceptional room cleanliness and public areas upkeep. You will supervise, train and coach staff, perform daily room inspections and maintain brand standards while controlling costs.

The role requires strong supervisory skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction. Flexibility for shifts, including weekends, is expected.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent education required.
• Prior commercial housekeeping experience required.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise housekeeping staff and provide training, coaching and feedback to maximize efficiency.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house to ensure brand standards and cleanliness.
• Assign tasks, manage supplies, and monitor inventory to control costs.
• Ensure VIP and Marriott Bonvoy rooms are prepared and inspected on schedule.
• Uphold safety and sanitation standards and enforce accident/loss prevention programs.
• Support scheduling and purchasing of supplies as needed.
