Responsibilities

• Establishes standards and procedures for housekeeping and laundry staff, including safety and chemical use.
• Plans work schedules to ensure adequate service within budgeted labor guidelines.
• Monitors chemical systems and cleaning procedures to control costs.
• Inspects guestrooms daily, may assist with cleaning or laundry as needed.
• Ensures proper storage and security of housekeeping room keys.
• Communicates with Front Desk on status of room inventory.
• Ensures guest satisfaction through prompt attention to questions or problems.
• Inspects property condition and plans carpet cleaning, mattress turning, and deep cleaning.
• Submits recommendations for painting, repairs, furnishings, or space reallocation to management.
• Inventories and purchases supplies per purchasing guidelines and budget.
• Investigates new cleaning instruments and methods.
