Job summary

The Shelborne Miami Beach, a Proper Hospitality property, is seeking an organized housekeeping supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping team and ensure top-tier cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

You will coordinate room assignments, manage staff schedules, handle guest requests, maintain inventory, and collaborate with front desk and maintenance to deliver exceptional service for guests staying in a historic and vibrant Miami Beach setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree in hospitality management or related field is a plus.
• Previous experience in housekeeping or hotel operations is required; supervisory or coordination experience preferred.
• Familiarity with hotel property management systems (e.g., Opera, InforHMS, or similar) is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate room assignments for the housekeeping team based on guest arrivals, departures, and special requests.
• Monitor the status of rooms, including room cleaning, maintenance, and FOP requests, ensuring rooms are ready for check-in on time.
• Communicate with the front desk to provide updates on room status and changes.
• Assist in managing room changes, upgrades, and late checkouts to optimize room availability.
• Assist in scheduling housekeeping staff shifts and ensure adequate coverage.
• Monitor attendance, track hours worked, and manage time-off requests for housekeeping staff.
• Ensure supplies, tools, and information are available to perform duties efficiently.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to room cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and inventory levels.
• Collaborate with front desk, maintenance, and guest services to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
