Job summary

Generation Hospitality is seeking a Houseperson to support our Engineering and Housekeeping teams in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming property. The role involves stocking, room setups, quick responses to service requests, and coordinating with staff to ensure a high-quality guest environment.

You will help with daily operations, assist with routine maintenance tasks, and follow all safety procedures while providing courteous service to guests and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping, facilities, janitorial, or similar role preferred but not required.
• Clear English communication, both spoken and written.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
• Ability to lift and move moderate to heavy items safely.
• Willingness to work full-time hourly shifts, including weekends/holidays.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and safe chemical handling, or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in guest, public, and back‑of‑house areas.
• Transport linens, supplies, and equipment to floors and storage.
• Assist with room setups and furniture moves as requested.
• Respond to service requests from engineering and housekeeping teams.
• Perform basic cleaning in public spaces and corridors.
• Inspect spaces and report maintenance needs.
• Replenish stock of linens and guest supplies.
• Support minor maintenance tasks per engineering direction.
• Follow safety procedures and proper chemical use.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors to coordinate shifts.
• Adhere to grooming, attendance, and courteous service standards.
