Job summary

Hyatt House Hotel Sacramento is seeking a House Person to support cleanliness and guest satisfaction. This hourly, full-time role collaborates with room attendants and housekeeping staff to keep public areas tidy and stocked. Training is provided and no prior experience is required.

You will assist with linens, supplies, and cleaning tasks, while following safety guidelines and restaurant/hotel procedures. Weekend and holiday availability is expected.

Qualifications

• English communication skills, written and spoken.
• No prior housekeeping experience required; training provided.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift up to 40 lbs.
• Reliable and punctual; ability to work weekends/holidays.
• Eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Support room attendants by delivering linens, amenities, and cleaning supplies as requested.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of hallways, elevators, stairwells, lobbies, and other public areas.
• Collect, transport, and distribute clean and soiled linens to and from designated storage or laundry areas.
• Empty trash and recycling containers in public and staff areas according to established procedures.
• Assist with deep-cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and spot-cleaning carpets and upholstery.
• Replenish housekeeping carts, closets, and storage rooms with supplies and amenities.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and direct them to the appropriate team member when needed.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged equipment to supervisors.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and infection-control standards and use cleaning chemicals properly.
• Assist with setup, breakdown, and cleaning for special events or high-occupancy periods as directed.
• Work collaboratively with the housekeeping team to meet daily cleanliness and service standards.
• Perform other housekeeping and support duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager.
