Job summary

DOUBLETREE BY HILTON ROCHESTER is seeking a Housekeeping Floor Supervisor to oversee guestroom cleaning and ensure timely readiness to meet Hilton standards.

Responsibilities include inspecting rooms daily, supervising housekeeping staff, coordinating with Front Office, and maintaining records. Strong communication, multitasking, and initiative are required; training will be provided, with a focus on guest satisfaction and high service levels.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• College coursework in related field is helpful.
• Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure employees are attentive, friendly, and courteous to guests and colleagues.
• Inspect all rooms daily to meet standards and productivity.
• Notify Room Attendants of deficiencies and re-inspect after correction.
• In the absence of supervisors, inspect VIP rooms and report status to Front Office.
• Oversee closing of floors and restock Room Attendant carts at day end.
• Maintain daily assignment records and sign off daily.
• Maintain key control and supervise Laundry staff when needed.
• Coordinate with Guest Services about discrepant rooms and check room status.
• Carry pager/radio to stay in contact with Front Office/Engineering.
• Oversee daily duties and assign Room Attendants/House Attendants.
• Monitor carts, linen closets, and stairways for orderliness.
• Report progress of out-of-order rooms to Guest Services Manager.
• Initiate and follow through on maintenance work orders.
• Oversee training of Room Attendants and regular maintenance tasks.
• Maintain confidentiality and show initiative to meet guest/ops needs.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
• Always maintain a warm and friendly demeanor.
