Job summary

Red Hawk Resort + Casino is seeking a hotel housekeeping team member to maintain clean rooms, hallways, and public areas. You will greet guests professionally, assist with requests within policy, and support department projects while upholding health and safety standards.

The role requires staying on your feet for long periods, lifting up to 40 pounds, and demonstrating excellent communication and confidentiality. Previous casino/hotel cleaning experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Casino/hotel industry experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
• 6 months of cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to clean as directed with acceptable performance.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, and other tools.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Stand or walk for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Lift and carry up to 40 pounds.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• The goal is to enhance customer experience by keeping our facility in clean and orderly condition to the standard within the time lines defined that exceeds guests’ expectations.
• Delivers quality service that meets guests needs
• Works in a clean, sanitary, safe, and organized manner abiding by all health and safety regulations
• Maintains a professional appearance and acts as a role model according to the established grooming and appearance policy.
• Stays informed on department and property knowledge and promotions
• Cleans hotel rooms, hallways, linen rooms, and employee and storage areas in the hotel, as directed.
• Maintains and cleans all equipment used throughout the course of a shift, as directed.
• Maintains proper documentation of all duties accomplished during a working shift, as directed.
• Reports all safety hazards or maintenance deficiencies for proper handling and in a timely manner. - Abides by all security measures.
• Greets all guests throughout shift with the proper salutation and pleasant expression.
• Assists guests with issues that are within authority to provide, ensuring guests' satisfaction while operating within established guidelines and policies.
• Performs all duties in a quiet and orderly manner.
• Assists with department projects, as needed.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Previous casino/hotel industry experience preferred.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required.
• Six (6) months of previous cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to clean as directed at an acceptable performance rate.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
• Must be able to operate equipment, including but not limited to vacuum cleaners, cleaning supplies, mop, and broom.
• Applicants should possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Must have ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Must have the ability to lift, carry and transport up to 40 pounds.
