Job summary

Hampton Inn & Suites Denton is seeking a Housekeeping Attendant to maintain the cleanliness of guest rooms and corridors in our hotel. You will follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines to ensure a welcoming environment for guests.

Responsibilities include taking room assignments from supervisors, reporting status, restocking supplies, and adhering to safety policies. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work a varied schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication ability and clarity in English.
• Ability to read and understand cleaning chemical directions.
• Knowledge of safe handling of cleaning agents and equipment.
• Willingness to work in a hotel housekeeping environment.

Responsibilities

• Obtain room assignments from your Supervisor/Manager at the beginning of the shift
• Notify Housekeeping Supervisor that the room is clean and whether it is occupied or vacant
• Restock your cart, remove trash and dirty linen at the end of the shift
• Report suspicious persons, hazards, or issues to Safety/Security
• Adhere to cleaning procedures and use of cleaning resources
• Promptly report emergencies, accidents, injuries, missing articles, damage, and safety hazards to management
• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures

The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for the cleanliness of guest rooms.

Required Skills and Requisites:

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to communicate in the English language
• Ability to read and understand directions on cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to use chemicals and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Obtain room assignments from your Supervisor/Manager at the beginning of the shift
• Notify Housekeeping Supervisor that the room is clean and whether it is occupied or vacant.
• Restock your cart, remove any trash and dirty linen, at the end of the shift so it is ready for the next day.
• Report all suspicious persons or activities, hazardous conditions, etc., to the Safety/Security Department.
• Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for use of cleaning resources
• Promptly reports emergencies, accidents, injuries, missing articles, damage, engineering items and safety hazards to management
• Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures

MUST-HAVES:

• Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation
• Able to lift, bend and stand for extended periods of time
• Operate with passion, respect, integrity, dedication and empowerment to all team members and hotel guests

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Housekeeping experience is preferred but not required
• Available to work a varied schedule that will include evenings, weekends and holidays
• Organized and detail oriented with the ability to be flexible
• Must possess the ability to handle stressful situations in a calm, professional manner
