Job summary

Waterford Hotel Group is seeking a Hotel General Manager to maximize revenue, control expenses, lead the team, and drive profitability across the property. You will oversee all aspects of operations, including sales, marketing strategy, human resources, and guest satisfaction to deliver a strong ROI.

The ideal candidate will manage service standards, coach managers, and actively recruit qualified staff while reporting performance to owners and leadership.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; Bachelor’s degree, a plus
• 4 years experience (2 years with a Bachelor’s degree) in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, management operations, or related professional area
• Experience in implementing payroll and inventory cost controls
• Previous Hotel General Manager experience is required
• Previous F&B experience required
• Background check requirement

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that service programs are in place and executed
• Providing timely real-time feedback to management, and hourly associates on service and operational standards
• Creating, and supporting clear lines of responsibility for management team, including coverage and oversight throughout the day
• Measuring, analyzing, and communicating property performance using financial and non-financial data
• Conducting day-to-day Human Resource transactions to support needs of the property
• Ensuring ongoing development of managers (e.g., coaching, stretch assignments)
• Actively recruiting and hiring qualified associates
• Keeping leadership team, owners, and stakeholders updated on performance in financials, guest satisfaction, and associate engagement
