Job summary

Tandem Hospitality Group, LLC is seeking a General Manager in Baton Rouge to oversee all hotel departments and ensure an exceptional guest experience while safeguarding financial performance.

You will lead Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Banquets, Sales & Marketing, and Engineering, drive profitability, coach leaders, and implement policy with a focus on service standards and safe operations.

Qualifications

• College degree and five years of related experience in hotel operations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Significant attention to detail.
• Complete understanding of profitability and budget goals.
• Computer skills required – experience with hotel information systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with managers to meet financial budgets and guest service goals.
• Develop managers professionally through coaching and mentorship.
• Establish and enforce standard operating procedures across departments.
• Motivate staff to maintain a productive, safe work environment and comply with safety codes.
• Schedule staff to meet guest needs while controlling labor budgets.
• Oversee HR and accounting functions, including forecasting, cash flow, and annual budgets.
• Assist in annual marketing planning to increase occupancy and revenue.
• Participate in revenue management and sales strategy calls.
• Ensure staff training aligns with standards and departmental functions.
• Lead daily stand-up meetings to communicate priorities and updates.
• Maintain hotel cleanliness and condition to meet standards and inspections.
• Ensure accurate inventory for guest supplies and amenities.
• Coordinate with Engineering on maintenance and equipment programs.
