Job summary

Ascent Hospitality and Hampton Inn Enterprise, AL are seeking an energetic General Manager to lead daily hotel operations, drive guest satisfaction, and manage a team focused on delivering exceptional experiences.

You will oversee financial performance, revenue growth, staff development, and adherence to brand standards in a hands-on, people-centered leadership role.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Hotel General Manager, Assistant General Manager, or senior hotel operations leader.
• Strong background in hotel operations and guest service.
• Experience with Hilton or select-service hotel operations is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
• Strong understanding of hotel financials, budgeting, labor management, sales, and operational performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the hotel's daily operations, guest experience, team performance, and financial results.
• Recruit, train, coach, recognize, and develop hotel team members.
• Create a positive, welcoming, and accountable hotel culture.
• Partner with department leaders to ensure smooth and efficient hotel operations.
• Drive occupancy, ADR, revenue, profitability, and guest satisfaction.
• Review financial reports, budgets, labor costs, and operating results and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Work closely with Sales and hotel leadership to grow local business and strengthen market relationships.
• Build strong relationships with guests, team members, community partners, vendors, and local businesses.
• Ensure compliance with Hampton by Hilton brand standards, company policies, safety requirements, and operating procedures.
• Monitor guest feedback and implement strategies to continuously improve the guest experience.
• Lead hotel meetings, performance discussions, training initiatives, and operational improvement programs.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, increase revenue, and strengthen team engagement.
• Represent Hampton Inn Enterprise and Ascent Hospitality professionally within the local community.

What We Are Looking For

• Strong background in hotel operations and guest service.

• Excellent communication, leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on, approachable, accountable, and results-oriented leadership style.
• Ability to build strong relationships with employees, guests, ownership, corporate leadership, and community partners.
• Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field is preferred.
