Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests to the property and MGM Resorts family, offering memorable service and resolving complaints.
• Manage check-ins and check-outs, including early/late arrivals and walk-ins.
• Promote MGM Rewards enrollment and benefits to guests.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping and other departments to meet guest expectations.
• Handle charges and payments, balance cash and credit transactions per procedures.
• Maintain security and confidentiality of guest information while ensuring a smooth experience.

THE JOB:

As a Front Desk Representative at MGM Springfield, you’ll bring your proven guest service experience to the forefront—confidently managing arrivals, departures, and complex guest needs in a high‑volume resort environment. You’ll own the guest journey end to end, using your expertise to resolve challenges, anticipate needs, and create elevated, memorable stays.

THE STARTING RATE:

$18.95 per hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Welcome guests to the property and the MGM Resorts family by providing memorable service, anticipating guest needs and responding to and resolving any guest complaints in alignment with S.H.O.W. Service Basics
• Deliver a seamless and professional experience managing early and late property arrivals/departures and walk‑ins and all other tasks associated with guest room check‑ins and check‑outs
• Enhance guest experience through offering upgraded accommodations where available in accordance with authorized programs and processes and promoting MGM Rewards enrollment and benefits to our guests
• Partner with Housekeeping and other related departments to meet guest expectations and special requests
• Ensure correct charges and credits are posted, collect payments, handle cash and credit transactions, and demonstrate responsibility in balancing all cash and cash equivalent transactions using property cash handling procedures
• Control and issue keys while promoting security, privacy, and confidentiality of all guests while providing a relaxing and hassle‑free experience from start to finish

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• 6+ Months of Prior Relevant Cash handling experience is preferred
• 1+ Years of Prior Relevant Face to face guest service experience is preferred
• Able and willing to work a Part-Time schedule: Friday 9AM - 5:45PM, Sunday & Monday, 2PM - 10:45PM and to include holidays, but have the open availability because the shifts could vary
• Experience in a similar resort setting is preferred

Pay Rate

The rate for this role is:

$18.95

This rate represents a good faith estimate of the wage rate that MGM reasonably expects to pay for the position upon hire.

The estimated annual commission this role could reasonably be anticipated to receive is: $0 - $200.

Pay will not be below any applicable minimum wage.

Should overtime be worked, employees are paid overtime pay in accordance with state requirements.
