Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels in Charlotte, NC seeks an experienced accounting professional to lead the hotel’s finance team. You’ll manage day-to-day accounting, assist with budget planning, and oversee month-end close and financial reporting.

The role requires strong Excel skills, supervisory experience, and the ability to work under pressure. Compensation ranges from $60k to $65k, with bonus eligibility and a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• Requires BA/BS in Accounting or Business and accounting knowledge.
• Supervisory experience in financial reporting/general ledger is required.
• Strong Excel, communication, and supervisory capabilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist Director of Finance with budget preparation and strategic goals.
• Lead month-end close, input/reconcile income, and generate reports for management.
• Manage daily accounting activities and assign staff tasks to maintain GAAP compliance.
• Input GL entries, post daily transactions, and review subsidiary ledgers.
• Prepare tax reconciliations and handle tax filing at various levels.
• Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations; participate in inventories and audits.
• Review AP/AR processes and manage cash handling and reporting.
