Sonesta International Hotels is seeking an Accounting Manager in Fort Lauderdale to oversee daily accounting operations, support budgeting and forecasting, and partner with hotel leadership on financial performance. This role emphasizes internal controls, audit readiness, and cross-functional collaboration with HR and revenue teams.

The ideal candidate brings 3+ years in hospitality finance or hotel accounting, strong Excel and PMS experience, and a CPA track or related certifications.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting, hospitality finance, hotel accounting, or financial reporting experience.
• Experience in Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, Hotel Accountant, Finance Supervisor, or hospitality accounting leadership roles.
• CPA track, accounting certifications, or hospitality finance experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, payroll support, and internal controls.
• Experience using hotel accounting systems, PMS platforms, Excel, procurement systems, payroll systems, and financial reporting tools.
• Flexible availability including occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, and operational support as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations: accounts payable/receivable, payroll support, reconciliations, journal entries, and cash management.
• Prepare and review financial statements, variance reporting, forecasting, and supporting documentation.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, labor analysis, and departmental financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with accounting procedures, internal controls, audit requirements, and company policies.
• Oversee month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting deadlines.
• Collaborate with hotel leadership, HR, Revenue Management, and departments to support operations.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel accounting systems and reporting tools.
• Mentor accounting team for operational consistency and development.
• Identify opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency, and controls.
