Job summary

HEI Hotels and Resorts is seeking an experienced accounting professional to assist the Controller in directing financial activities of the hotel, safeguarding assets, and preparing reports according to GAAP and company standards. The role involves posting payments, reconciling city ledger and credit card activities, processing vendor invoices, and maintaining detailed records.

A Bachelor’s in Accounting and hotel accounting experience are preferred, with strong organizational and communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required or preferred.
• Experience in accounting and hotel operations is desirable.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist Controller in directing hotel financial activities and preparing financial reports.
• Post city ledger payments and reconcile accounts; assist in collections when needed.
• Reconcile credit card backups and maintain logs; ensure accurate GL and city ledger reconciliations.
• Verify purchasing procedures and maintain Purchase Order Log; route invoices for approval.
• Process approved invoices for payment with proper signatures and backups.
• Maintain organized files for invoices, payments, and vendor correspondences.
• Support in general accounting tasks and ad hoc duties as assigned.
