Job summary

HEI Hotels and Resorts is seeking an experienced associate to assist the Controller in directing the hotel’s financial activities and safeguarding assets at The Woodlands Resort, Curio Collection in the Houston area.

You will handle night audit reconciliations, city ledger postings, invoice processing, and vendor communications while ensuring accurate accounting records and compliance with HEI standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred.
• Accounting and hotel experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to compile facts and figures.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Controller in directing hotel finance activities and ensuring GAAP compliance.
• Sort and verify Night Audit work including reconciliation of receivables.
• Post city ledger payments in PMS and reconcile accounts.
• Bill and reconcile credit cards; maintain logs for all cards.
• Process and follow-up on invoices for payment with proper approvals.
• Maintain Purchase Order Log and ensure accurate coding.
• Interface with vendors and reconcile statements.
