Job summary

Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa seeks a Senior Finance Manager to join the resort's Finance leadership team, partnering with the Director and Assistant Director of Finance to drive financial performance and controls.

The role oversees daily accounting operations, forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting, ensuring adherence to Hyatt accounting standards, internal controls, and audit requirements across resort operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7–10 years of progressive accounting or finance experience in large hotel or resort.
• Demonstrated experience in financial leadership, forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and hospitality accounting practices.
• Experience implementing financial procedures and process improvements.
• Advanced Excel skills and hotel systems proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the Accounting Department including GL, A/P, A/R, Income Audit, and General Cashier.
• Support forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning through analysis and reporting.
• Support month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations with timely item resolution.
• Partner with leaders to analyze financial performance and control expenses.
• Oversee capital expenditures and FF&E project oversight with Ownership and Engineering.
