Job summary

The Hutton Hotel in Nashville, operated by Davidson Hospitality Group, seeks an experienced Assistant Director of Finance to support the Director of Finance in daily financial operations and lead the finance team. You will oversee AR/AP, income audit, cash management, month-end close, reconciliations, forecasting, and reporting, working with hotel leadership to ensure accuracy and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, hospitality preferred.
• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of hotel accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close.
• Experience with journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Workday or other financial systems preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Director of Finance in leading day-to-day financial and accounting operations.
• Provide leadership across AR, AP, income audit, cash management, month-end close, reconciliations, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Collaborate with Director of Finance, General Manager, department heads, and Finance team to ensure accurate reporting and strong internal controls.
• Support operational and financial success through proactive analysis and issue resolution.
