Job summary

Sheraton Grand Nashville Downtown, part of Aimbridge Hospitality, seeks an Area Director of Finance to lead budgeting, forecasting, and P&L reporting across up to four hotels. You will oversee payroll, income audits, AP/AR, and cash management with a focus on accuracy and strong controls.

In this executive role, you’ll coordinate annual operating plans, provide analytical support to departments, and guide a high-performing, cross-trained finance team to drive profitability city-wide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting and 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in hotel finance or a related field.
• Expert in budgeting, forecasting, profit & loss reporting, and analyzing financial data to formulate actionable solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop a high-performing cross-trained finance team.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present complex financial concepts clearly, both in writing and in group settings.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, POS/PMS systems, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily and month-end reporting, payroll, income audits, AP/AR, and cash/credit management with precision.
• Complete a seamless month-end close—journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliation, and tax reporting.
• Build and achieve annual operating plans aligned with company vision; provide analytical support to departments.
• Lead a sales-driven culture while ensuring accurate P&Ls, variance analysis, and robust controls/audit oversight.
• Coach, train, and inspire the finance team to high performance and cross-training.
