Job summary

Perlen House in San Antonio seeks a Controller to oversee accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance. This hands-on financial leader will focus on day-to-day performance and internal controls for the property, bringing hospitality expertise and strong analytical skills.

You will lead month-end close, GAAP reporting, and audit support, mentor the finance team, and coordinate with ownership and the Emma Hospitality Group CPA to ensure accuracy and timely filings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA preferred.
• 5–7 years in progressive finance roles; hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial analysis capabilities.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close.
• Leadership and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including AP/AR, payroll, GL.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes with ownership.
• Ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting and audit support.
• Monitor cash flow and manage liquidity for operations.
• Develop internal controls and mentor finance staff.
• Coordinate with external CPAs for audits and tax filings.
