Job summary

Emma Hospitality Group seeks a Controller to oversee Perlen House finance, budgeting, and reporting. This hands-on leader will manage day-to-day accounting, payroll, and GL while coordinating with the CPA for audits and tax filings.

The role requires 5–7 years in finance with 3+ in hospitality, USALI knowledge, and strong leadership. On-site duties at Perlen House in Texas support the property’s financial performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA preferred).
• 5–7 years progressively responsible finance/accounting experience, with 3+ years in hospitality/luxury service.
• Strong knowledge of hotel financial systems and USALI.
• Proven budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for a single-property hotel.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day finance department responsibilities for Perlen House.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting with internal functions and Ownership for Perlen House operations.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger; ensure timely month-end close.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and support external audits with Emma Hospitality Group CPA.
• Maintain reconciliations and balance sheet accuracy monthly.
• Monitor cash flow and manage liquidity for operations and capital projects.
• Enforce internal controls and ensure regulatory tax compliance and reporting standards.
• Supervise finance team and provide staffing recommendations.
