Qualifications

• Two Years of Description Maintenance/engineering experience required in a hotel or related field.
• Ability to work safely and confidently with unenergized circuits from 120V.
• Proven organization and time management skills.
• Guest-focused, optimistic, self-disciplined, and a self-starter.
• Problem solver, self-motivated, able to learn more skills to serve guests and the company better.
• Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of written and oral instructions.
• Multi-task oriented.
• Ability to overcome unexpected obstacles through resourceful means.
• Neat, professional appearance and good personal hygiene.
• Able to work on varied schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
• Must be able to read, follow directions, and be flexible.
• Must be able to speak and write in a language understood by the manager and/or supervisor.
• Ability to communicate with guests, associates, and management.
• Ability to take directions from hotel and housekeeping management.
• Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness, and work with a minimum of supervision.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex repairs, including HVAC systems, electrical work, and plumbing issues.
• Maintain a preventative maintenance schedule across the hotel.
• Respond promptly to guest and staff reports of non-functioning equipment.
• Complete work orders and close them out as finished.
• Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities and equipment.
• Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot mechanical operations and equipment.
