Job summary

The Chattanoogan Hotel (Curio by Hilton) in Chattanooga, TN seeks a Hotel Building Maintenance Specialist to oversee electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and related building systems. You will direct daily activities and ensure preventive maintenance is executed to meet property goals.

Ideal candidates have hotel maintenance leadership experience, strong technical knowledge, and a focus on safety, cost control and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Three years’ minimum experience in a lead maintenance type position.
• Strong knowledge of building systems and safety regulations.
• Experience in a hotel environment preferred.
• Excellent customer service and team communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize maintenance tasks to keep operations running smoothly.
• Manage and maintain a preventive maintenance system for day-to-day operations.
• Follow all company safety policies and report hazards promptly.
• Proactively identify operational concerns to minimize downtime.
• Demonstrate strong problem solving and diagnostic skills.
• Understand common causes of equipment malfunction and address them.
• Estimate cost and time required to complete a job.
• Oversee, motivate and train maintenance team members.
• Welcome guests and maintain a professional appearance.
