Job summary

Astor Crowne Plaza New Orleans is seeking a skilled on-site Maintenance Engineer to uphold the hotel’s systems and building envelope, ensuring guest safety and comfort.

You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks, service the pool, and help maintain exterior curb appeal, while complying with SOPs and health codes. Hotel experience is preferred; lifting 25-50 lbs is required.

Qualifications

• Vocational schooling or certification in building trades (HVAC, electrical, plumbing or carpentry).
• Hotel maintenance experience preferred.
• Climbing, lifting 25–50 lbs, and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventative maintenance and complete work orders (ceiling tiles, light bulbs, patching vinyl).
• Perform scheduled maintenance on electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing and fixtures.
• Service the hotel's pool and maintain exterior curb appeal; refurbish furniture as needed.
• Move furniture, respond courteously to guest questions and assist with repairs.
