Job summary

Astor Crowne Plaza New Orleans on Canal Street is seeking an Overnight Engineer to maintain building systems and the building envelope, ensuring guest safety and regulatory compliance. You will perform preventative maintenance, assist with repairs, and help conserve energy across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related equipment.

Responsibilities include minor repairs, reporting work orders, servicing the pool, and ensuring the guest areas meet quality standards while addressing guest questions

Qualifications

• Experience in building trades such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing or carpentry.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs.
• Strong communication and safety-conscious work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventative maintenance and report work orders.
• Check electrical systems, HVAC, lighting, and fixtures for issues.
• Maintain pool, equipment, and building exterior as needed.
• Refurbish guest room furniture and fixtures and assist on major repairs.
• Respond courteously to guest questions and requests.
