Job summary

HMP Properties, LLC, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee grounds, building facilities, and guest room upkeep at our Virginia location. You will perform daily cleaning, preventive maintenance, small repairs, and coordinate larger needs with the General Manager.

The role requires knowledge of HVAC, electrical and plumbing basics, ability to work with limited supervision, and a strong work ethic. Safety and proper equipment handling are essential to service quality and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; 3+ years hotel operations experience preferred.
• General knowledge of heating, air conditioning, electrical and plumbing.
• Ability to patch holes, clean carpets, and paint walls.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and with others.
• Must be able to follow safety guidelines and maintain clean work areas.

Responsibilities

• Oversees property maintenance of grounds, building facilities, and guest rooms.
• Perform preventive maintenance and small repairs as directed.
• Maintain cleanliness of guest laundry areas and common spaces.
• Report larger maintenance needs to General Manager.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and proper chemical handling.
