Job summary

The Hotel General Maintenance Technician supports the Chief Engineer to keep the property running smoothly, from plumbing and electrical systems to HVAC and pool upkeep. You will report to the General Manager and Chief Engineer, bringing hands-on trade skills to maintain a safe, guest-ready facility.

With a minimum of three years in maintenance, you will communicate with engineers and supervisors, perform preventive maintenance, and handle basic repairs using standard tools in varying

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a maintenance-type role.
• Ability to communicate priorities and problems to engineers and supervisors.
• Knowledge of common causes of equipment malfunction.
• Ability to repair and test basic HVAC and hotel equipment.
• Able to perform painting, caulking, and basic carpentry.
• Must be able to climb stairs, work indoors/outdoors, lift up to 50 pounds.
• Hotel maintenance experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on building systems.
• Repair and replace basic HVAC components and related equipment.
• Paint, caulk, and perform basic carpentry as needed.
• Test pool and spa chemicals and ensure safe operation.
• Use standard hand and power tools to complete tasks.
• Communicate operational activities and issues to management.
• Maintain safety and organize tools and work areas.
• Support maintenance team under the General Manager and Chief Engineer.
