Job summary

SpringHill Suites ODU in Norfolk, VA seeks an Executive Housekeeper to manage the housekeeping and laundry departments, ensuring guest satisfaction while controlling costs. You will lead supervisors, train staff, and coordinate with engineering and other departments to uphold service standards.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years in hotel housekeeping with at least 2 years in supervision, plus college coursework in business management. Flexible hours, weekends, and holidays are expected.

Qualifications

• Two years college to include coursework in business management or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a housekeeping function in a hotel of equivalent or slightly smaller size, including 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; solid understanding of hotel operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee housekeeping and laundry operations through supervisors to meet productivity and quality standards.
• Control costs for linens and cleaning supplies; manage inventory and purchasing.
• Schedule staff, track occupancy and productivity; report on room status and housekeeping expenses.
• Assist with training, payroll records, and payroll preparation for the department.
• Maintain uniforms and badges, lead staff meetings, and coordinate with other departments.
