Job summary

Hyatt Place Virginia Beach/Oceanfront is seeking a hands-on Housekeeping Supervisor to lead room attendants and laundry personnel. You will recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate staff, build schedules, and maintain high cleanliness standards across guest rooms and public areas.

You will manage inventory, control costs, respond to guest feedback, coordinate with front desk and maintenance, and promote a service-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Experience as a room attendant and 2+ years of supervisory experience required.
• Inventory management experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate housekeeping staff.
• Foster a positive work environment and promote customer service excellence.
• Develop and implement staff schedules for adequate coverage.
• Maintain rigorous cleanliness standards for guest rooms and public areas.
• Conduct inspections and audits to ensure standards are met.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and department budget.
• Coordinate with front office, maintenance, and F&B for seamless guest services.
• Provide training and development for housekeeping staff.
