Shamin Hotels in Midlothian, VA is seeking an experienced Executive Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping department and ensure exceptional guest service. The role manages staffing, training, scheduling, and productivity while upholding cost controls and hotel standards.

The Executive Housekeeper coordinates between housekeeping crews and supports staff, performing housekeeping duties when needed to maintain cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience preferred.
• Hotel housekeeping experience preferred.
• Basic reading, writing and math skills required.
• Experience with hotel brand systems preferred.
• Customer service skills required.
• Prioritization and time management skills required.
• Ability to work quickly without compromising quality.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manages housekeeping and laundry staff, including hiring, training and evaluations.
• Establishes and maintains cost control systems for staffing linen inventories and cleaning supplies.
• Enforces policies and procedures.
• Ensures guest satisfaction and quality service.
• Schedules staff according to labor standards and forecasted occupancy.
• Maintains room quality based on hotel objectives.
• Monitors cleanliness in rooms, storage, laundry, restrooms and public areas.
• Compiles and reports status of guest rooms to front office.
• Maintains security and procedures for lost and found items.
• Maintains productivity and labor cost goals.
• Orders and receives supplies to maintain inventory.
• Ensures staff interact with guests warmly.
• Flexibility to work various schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.
