Job summary

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts in Phoenix is seeking an experienced Event Manager to prepare event documentation, coordinate with Sales and property departments, and ensure high-level service throughout pre-event, event and post-event phases.

The role focuses on average-complexity events, ensuring seamless turnover from sales to service and back, while identifying opportunities to upsell and enhance event experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1–2 years in event management or related field.
• 2-year degree in Hospitality, Hotel, Business Administration, or related major; at least 1 year in event management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all event documentation and coordinate with Sales, property departments and customers.
• Ensure seamless turnover from sales to service; maximize revenue opportunities through up-selling and enhancements.
• Manage group room blocks and meeting space for average to large-sized groups.
• Lead and coordinate event logistics, ensuring compliance with standards and procedures.
• Provide exceptional customer service and continuous improvement based on guest feedback.

Education

High school diploma or GED; 1–2 years experience in event management

2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; at least 1 year event management experience
