Job summary

Cambria Detroit is seeking an energetic Event Sales Manager to join our Sales and Marketing team. You will oversee planning and execution of complex events, coordinating with Sales and hotel departments to ensure top-tier service from pre-event through post-event phases.

You will upsell offerings, manage client budgets, lead pre/post-event meetings, and act as main liaison to ensure seamless turnover from sales to service. Onsite work required; evenings/weekends may be necessary.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in event management or related professional area.
• Onsite role with no work-from-home option.
• Ability to work late nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Hospitality or related field.

Responsibilities

• Prepare event documentation and coordinate with Sales, property departments and customers.
• Upsell products and services throughout the event process to maximize revenue.
• Lead pre-event and post-event meetings; manage group room blocks and meeting space.
• Serve as liaison between sales and customers to ensure seamless turnover.
• Ensure accurate Banquet Event Orders and adherence to hotel procedures.
• Provide exceptional customer service and handle guest feedback.
