Job summary

Visit Detroit seeks a Destination Services Manager to coordinate conventions and large events across Detroit venues. You will collaborate with meeting planners, clients, partners and internal teams to tailor logistics to client needs and drive successful attendee experiences.

Ideal candidates bring 5–7 years in event planning or hospitality, strong contract and vendor management, and the ability to travel. The role is hybrid (2 days remote, 3 days in Detroit office) with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, event planning, or related field or comparable experience.
• 5–7 years’ experience in event planning in meetings/conferences or hospitality.
• 5–7 years' experience servicing clients in sales or event services-facing role.
• Must maintain a qualifying credit history for AmEx corporate card.
• Extensive knowledge of Metro Detroit tourism assets.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee planning and execution of conventions, conferences, and large events.
• Work with meeting planners, clients, partners and internal departments to ensure logistics meet client needs.
• Lead in servicing accounts with peak room nights and manage assigned projects.
