Job summary

The Leta by Hilton Tapestry Collection in Santa Barbara, operated by SPIRE Hospitality, seeks a hands-on Maintenance Engineer to maintain all building systems and oversee the engineering department. You will perform repairs in carpentry, mechanics, plumbing, electrical and finish work, respond to guest room calls, run preventive maintenance, and uphold safety standards.

Requires a high school diploma, maintenance certification preferred, OSHA knowledge, and at least one year of hotel maintenance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Trade school or General Maintenance/Technician certification a plus.
• One year of general maintenance/repair experience in hotels preferred.
• One year of general maintenance/repair experience required.
• Knowledge of OSHA Safety and Chemical Standards.
• Plumbing/Electrical licenses preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general repairs in maintenance disciplines such as carpentry, mechanics, plumbing, electrical and finish work.
• Prioritize work orders to minimize guest inconvenience.
• Respond to guest room calls as required.
• Complete preventative maintenance procedures.
• Adhere to hotel safety standards.
• Assist other departmental craft workers as required.
• Participate in Fire Alarm Response Team duties.
• Participate in OSHA/Safety programs and Emergency Evacuation Team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
