Job summary

Bishop's Lodge, Auberge Collection in Santa Fe is seeking a maintenance engineer to lead multiple projects from start to finish and to maintain a safe, productive work environment.

The role involves troubleshooting and repairing all hotel systems, including HVAC, laundry, kitchen, water and wastewater, carpentry, plumbing, and minor automotive repairs, with a focus on safety and prompt guest service. Strong communication in English is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-4 year experience as an Engineer / Maintenance Technician, preferably within a hotel or property management environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Technical school desired.
• Must be able to operate all Hotel systems and associated equipment.
• Need to be familiar with associated vendors and able to identify replacement parts, materials, and necessary tools.
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions on assembly of mechanical equipment and furniture as well as follow directions on warning labels.
• Ability to communicate in English with guests, co-workers, and management.
• Valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record.

Responsibilities

• Ability to troubleshoot and repair all hotel systems including all HVAC&R systems, laundry equipment, kitchen equipment, water and wastewater systems, carpentry, tile, plumbing, painting and minor automotive repairs.
• Maintain complete knowledge of hotel fire system, water system, sewage system, and irrigation system
• Respond to all Guest Requests within a very timely manner
• Respond to all emergency or life threatening situations
• Follow established safety procedures
• Log and communicate all essential information in Engineering logs
• Duties include emergency on call status
