Job summary

The Westin Cleveland is seeking an experienced Engineer to maintain building systems, ensure safety, and comply with standards. You will lead the Engineering Department when the Chief Engineer is unavailable and supervise technicians.

The role requires hands-on trade experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, with strong leadership and communication skills. The shift is primarily 2 pm–10 pm midweek and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain building related systems and premises to ensure safety of guests and staff.
• Oversee Engineering Department in absence of Chief Engineer.
• Follow preventative maintenance procedures and guidelines for guestrooms, equipment, and public spaces.
• Monitor budgeted guidelines while maintaining stock of supplies and materials.
• Train and supervise engineering staff to maximize productivity.
• Ensure compliance with codes and Brand standards.
