Job summary

HEI Hotels and Resorts is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for The Westin Cleveland to maintain building systems and safety for guests, associates, and vendors. Focus areas include HVAC, electrical, plumbing and life safety with emphasis on energy efficiency and brand standards.

Typical shifts are 2 pm–10 pm Wed–Fri, 8 am–4 pm Sat; Mon/Tue off. Schedule may vary with business needs. Competitive hourly pay and full benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Vocational training or certification in building trades such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing or carpentry.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience at a comparable location, hotel experience preferred.
• Knowledge of hotel operations, safety programs and budget considerations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all building systems and premises for guest safety.
• Follow preventative maintenance procedures for guestrooms and public areas.
• Assist budgeting, inventory, and stock management for department.
• Supervise, train and assign tasks to engineering staff.
• Monitor life-safety systems and ensure code compliance.
• Improve energy efficiency and manage routine daily operations.
