Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts seeks an Engineering Supervisor for The Historic Cavalier Hotel & Beach Club, Autograph Collection in Virginia Beach, VA. The role oversees building systems, enforces preventive maintenance, and ensures safety and energy efficiency across the property.

You will train staff, manage budgets, and drive adherence to brand standards, with a focus on reliable operations and guest comfort in a luxury hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Vocational schooling, military training, certification and/or experience in building related trades.
• 3+ years hands-on experience at a comparable location.
• Hotel experience preferred.
• Knowledge of hotel operations, security and safety programs, budgeting and planning.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train engineering staff to maximise productivity.
• Follow PM procedures and SOPs for guestrooms, public spaces and equipment.
• Maintain engineering records for budgeting, Life Safety systems and inspections.
• Monitor and maintain all Engineering Spaces in a safe, clean, energy-efficient manner.
• Identify maintenance needs during daily tours and coordinate with other departments.
