Job summary

Loews Regency New York Hotel seeks an Engineering Manager to partner with the Director of Engineering to maintain guest rooms and floors to four-diamond standards. You will supervise daily operations, manage preventive maintenance, and ensure timely completion of tasks while mentoring teams and maintaining ADA compliance.

You will lead inspections, oversee training, and collaborate across departments to deliver exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced luxury setting on Park Avenue.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years in an engineering supervisory role within hospitality.
• Post-secondary education in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related technical discipline.
• Experience overseeing maintenance operations, PM programs, and inspections.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily maintenance operations and assign work to engineering staff.
• Review and inspect completed work orders for quality and accuracy.
• Address and resolve maintenance-related guest concerns with department heads.
• Oversee preventive maintenance tasks to hotel standards.
• Assist engineers with diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions.
• Coordinate training programs to enhance team skills.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in maintenance shops.
• Manage inventory for guestroom parts and supplies.
• Conduct periodic inspections of guestrooms for quality.
• Support ADA compliance in guest rooms and public spaces.
• Collaborate on repairs of electronic locking systems with Security.
• Attend hotel meetings and stay informed about events.
• Foster teamwork and a service-oriented environment.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and safety procedures.
• May work varying schedules to meet business needs.
