Job summary

Trump International Hotel & Tower New York is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead daily maintenance and the hotel’s physical plant. You will manage the Engineering and Security Team, oversee refrigeration, heating, plumbing, life safety, and daily operations while coordinating with Front Office, Housekeeping, and Security to ensure top-tier guest satisfaction.

The role requires 5+ years in a luxury setting with at least 3 years in leadership, along with HVAC, electrical, and mechanical

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a luxury environment; at least 3 in a leadership role.
• HVAC, electrical, and mechanical experience required.
• Excellent oral and written communication; ability to lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance and physical plant operations for hotel and tower.
• Manage Engineering and Security Team: hiring, training, directing work, performance appraisals.
• Supervise maintenance for HVAC, refrigeration, life safety, and utilities; coordinate with other departments.
• Ensure compliance with local laws, life safety regulations, and federal/state requirements.
• Support cross-department collaboration to maintain high guest satisfaction.
