Job summary

The Langham Boston is seeking an Assistant Director of Engineering to oversee the operation and life safety of the hotel. You will supervise the Engineering department, develop preventative maintenance programs, and coordinate with outside contractors to keep guest rooms and public areas in peak condition.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in hotel facilities management, strong English communication, and hands-on experience with building management and HVAC systems.

Qualifications

• Must obtain 2nd Class Steam Fireman License or higher issued by the Massachusetts Department of Public Safety.
• Minimum 2 years of hotel facility management experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation and life safety of the building.
• Supervise Engineering department staff.
• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs for plant equipment.
• Direct, coordinate, and oversee outside sub-contractors as needed.
• Assist with recruitment and training of new staff members.
