Job summary

Stonebridge in Las Vegas, NV seeks a Chief Engineer to oversee hotel maintenance, ensuring refrigeration, heating, plumbing and energy controls operate efficiently while managing staff and contractors to meet safety standards.

You will drive budgeting, inventory, and project planning for guest rooms and public spaces, coordinating with Housekeeping and Security, and guiding maintenance programs and vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years in hotel engineering or maintenance management.
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration, heating, plumbing, water treatment, and energy controls.
• Experience managing maintenance staff and contractors.
• Experience with budgeting, inventory management, and purchasing for maintenance operations.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to communicate clearly across departments and with vendors.
• Familiarity with safety and compliance protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional and courteous guest service at all times.
• Supervise maintenance operations, including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, water treatment, A/C units, lighting, and fire/life safety systems.
• Monitor and manage energy consumption for efficiency.
• Oversee contracted services to meet hotel standards and guest expectations.
• Supervise maintenance staff, including hiring, training, evaluations, and scheduling.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of all maintenance projects according to specifications.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping and Security on operations, key control, and safety procedures.
• Assist with project planning and work closely with architects and contractors on bids and blueprints.
• Manage maintenance agreements and contracts, including landscaping and snow removal.
• Develop and maintain maintenance programs for guest rooms, public spaces, and hotel equipment.
• Perform inventory management, purchasing duties, and budget development for the department.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of workspaces and attend meetings as required by the General Manager.
