Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead the engineering division across our hospitality portfolio. The role ensures safe, profitable hotel operations while meeting regulatory requirements and maintaining asset value.

Responsibilities include overseeing staff, budgeting, maintenance planning, and energy conservation initiatives. A strong hospitality facilities background and relevant licenses are essential for success.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of progressive facilities management experience in a hotel or related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Stationary Engineer's license if required by local code.
• HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations and general maintenance skills required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train all Engineering staff in Customer Service, Empowerment, SOPs and Loss Prevention Standards.
• Create and post all Engineering staff schedules according to Highgate Hotel standards.
• Create and adhere to annual department budget.
• Develop and implement maintenance plans for property and assets.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal laws.
