Job summary

The Melrose Georgetown Hotel is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the hotel’s engineering department, ensuring all systems and equipment operate optimally. You will oversee preventive maintenance and coordinate with the General Manager and management team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Required are prior hotel engineering experience, the ability to read drawings, and strong communication skills. Flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel engineering experience required.
• State certification or licensure where required.
• Ability to read drawings and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Ensure hotel operates in excellent condition and meets Engineering standards.
• Conduct walk-throughs and assess maintenance of building systems and equipment.
• Oversee Preventive Maintenance Program for Rooms and Public Areas.
• Collaborate with hotel management and General Manager.
• Hire, train, supervise and coach associates including managers.
• Maintain grounds for strong guest arrival experience.
• Implement safety policies and OSHA HazCom procedures.
