Job summary

Kaizen Lab Inc. in Myrtle Beach, SC, seeks a Director of Engineering for Grande Shores Resort to lead the maintenance department across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and related systems.

The role focuses on safety, guest comfort, and preventative maintenance while coordinating with vendors and the Home Owners' Department. Responsibilities include inspecting facilities, managing contractors, supervising staff, scheduling work orders, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Must have managerial maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, sewer, wall repair, appliances, and HVAC.
• Willing to work weekends and holidays; valid SC driver’s license.
• Bachelor’s/technical degree preferred for facilities management.

Responsibilities

• Inspect hotel facilities to ensure safety standards are met.
• Lead maintenance department and supervise staff.
• Coordinate routine maintenance in hotel rooms, lobbies, and facilities.
• Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
• Respond to guest calls and emergencies; minimize disturbances.
• Perform repairs in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drywall, and painting.
• Process work orders promptly and maintain organized storage/workspace.
• Execute scheduled preventative maintenance and train the team.
